Which if you hold the run button and walk for 3 seconds, is about 3 meters. So the cross works out to a radius of 3 meters. But yeah I'm sure it'll be much easier to find the ghost rooms when we can get their movements tracked with some kind of gear! Hopefully my group can improve with our use of the crucifixes so they are actually used instead of being in the wrong spot. We're still in the low single digit levels as I write this response so we haven't gotten to use the higher level technology you mentioned. We haven't gotten crucifixes used even once so far, so we most likely misplacing them in previous hunts. I think we haven't encountered a Banshee yet but whenever we do I'm sure it'll be crazy. We're still new to studying all ghost type behaviors and natures so far.

We're still new to the game, so we are still figuring out how to find the ghost's rooms during each job. However, if you still get a hunt triggered it either means the crucifix was already eaten and used or that it's simply not where the ghost spawned and you need to move it. For a Banshee, I believe this range is extended more than it would be for every other ghost. If the ghost doesn't wander too far from its room then you can plop down the crucifix where you feel it will spawn for a hunt or simply stand there with the crucifix in hand (it just needs to be in range). Depending on its behaviors and its natures you can easily pinpoint this to its own room which helps if it's a small room such as the basement in the case of ghosts like a demon. Hopefully we'll improve with our crucifixes and be able to use them properly soon enough. But I had like 13% sanity I wasn't trying to be very risky at that time. It probably would have worked out better if I could have gotten it to the bottom of those stairs. I was so low on sanity I went in to drop one on the floor in front of the stairs down to the basement before I left back to the van. Yeah, we tried to use one on a job, the ghost was in the basement (spawn bottom of the basement stairs). I would say it's better to have it on the ground anyways due to the small radius but kind of play it by ear from there. In regards to the other response where someone said it "has" to be placed I've 100% had it activate/trigger an objective while in the hand. Best guess would be in proximity to where you're picking up ghost activity. Okay so is there a sign before a hunt will happen or will we have to guess when it'll hunt to use the crucifix?
